jazz love & hip hop

these smooth breezings of jazz groove through the cool calm winds of my soul, I dig in to let go and get blown back to humbler beginnings as a boy sitting in wonder in the back of my father’s car, a simple grin swinging me to the rhythm of the road; swimming through sins of simple symphonies singing me hymns to sway me from slumber to humbled to one with the world; yes I’m in love with the combo of sweet jazz & smooth hip hop, oh how they ebb and flow ever so seamlessly, ever so sensefully, ever so simply synced together for both have sought their long-lost loves in the blessed melody between now and forever; I see them seated with a note and a song, a quote and a longing to speak straight from the soul to the old and the young; preach me to freedom, with each key I’m nearer, I reach deep to feeling how I’m here and I’m gone - I’m home; humbled young me with the humming disease, at ease in the essence with my seat in the present, blessed, for this thelonious monk funk hums through the air, yea, rare strums of the sax now purr jazz sounds as pure as sex, laughing as us saps sip to swig on sweet happiness, yes, our simple souls confess - oh this must be heaven, yes, this must be bliss.
